Slightly imperfect and so what?

Okay, here's how I see it.

Nobody is perfect. It's a known fact. What if the Patriots had actually won the Super Bowl? Then the common well known phrase, "Nobody's perfect" would become extinct like the dinosaurs did. Webster's would have to update the word 'Perfect' in their dictionary. Anybody aspiring to do his best would feel obligated to pull off a miracle because perfection would be expected. Reality, people. That would be far from it. I'd rather keep hearing "nobody's perfect" than the addendum to this phrase, "the Patriots are!".

The NY Giants deserve to bask in their victory. We can't have it all. The Red Sox won the World Series. The Patriots lost this year's Super Bowl. So what?

You go into an outlet store that sells overstock and slightly imperfect merchandise. You inspect the merchandise but you can't find where the imperfection is located. You buy the merchandise and it still looks great on you. Like our Patriots. We know they played their best, and even though their record is now slightly imperfect, they are still an outstanding football team, and they still look good to us. And so does Tom Brady.

ADDENDUM: For the very small percentage of you who are ignorant of the current events and who are not Amish (because surely you are not connected to the internet if you're Amish) and who are serving time for a crime so heinous that you are in solitary confinement and therefore have no access to radios, televisions, newspapers, etc., I have only this to say: Pop your bubble and keep up with the rest of us!!

Ok, so who is Tom Brady? (Believe it or not, it's not a name talked about in my "world.") :)

    K.
