Last night, I joined the boys on what is quickly becoming a nightly ritual of going out on the trail after dark and catching fireflies. Contrary to what you may think, they are quite easy to catch. And much more plentiful in the wild brush along the trail than in our yard. Our neighbors joined us on last night's adventure and it was humbling for me to have been a part of this experience that was theirs to enjoy for the first time.
Here are some of them that we caught before setting them free into the night.
Note: No fireflies were harmed during the making of this memory.
