Prologue

Here it is! My book in a blog. Hey, I'd love to see the book I've been writing in my head for years and years get published someday, but in the meantime, here's the next best thing. So, I'm fulfilling my life long dream (kind of), keeping you updated on all the happenings and S'milestones of us over here in good old Londonderry, NH, and hope you will jump in and post your thoughts or remarks, criticisms -- whatever -- knowing I will not be offended by whatever you say or think and it's just me having some fun, welcoming you to do the same. Like paintball or laser tag. But without so much physical action, a bit more humbling, and the English alphabet getting lots of exercise. So to speak.

And with that, I'd like to dedicate this portion of my blog to Irene, for the inspiration. Irene, you know who you are. Yet another thread to connect our somewhat interwoven lives! Okay, they aren't really that connected. More like similar. And probably more so than we both even realize. No doubt, we'll find out as we drop into each other's blogs from time to time. It's as close as we'll get to dropping in on each other, since the miles between us don't allow that to happen regularly. New Hampshire. Virginia. A few miles between the two states, wouldn't you say?

So, off my soapbox I go now to tend to the little ones. Thanks for choosing to drop in and go with the promise that if you visit again, you will be guaranteed a laugh or two every time.
