I got to talk to one of Santa's neighbors on Saturday. She called the catalog company where I am working as a TSR (telephone service rep for those of you trying to decipher the term) to place an order. I think she ordered some Yaktrax but I can't remember. She gave me her address as some place in North Pole, Alaska. I couldn't resist. I asked if she was Santa's neighbor. And she told me that he does have a castle there where he and Mrs. Clause live. How about that? She also told me that it was 10 below zero and that it had been snowing since early October. I looked across the room to the window outside, watching the snowflakes fall for the second time this season and responded that I would never again complain about the cold and snow we got here every winter. So there you have it. Now tell me you don't believe in Santa Clause. Somewhere in North Pole, Alaska, a woman is walking around in her Yaktrax proving otherwise.
Oh, and for everyone who didn't know what a TSR was, you are probably wondering what Yaktrax are. Guess no more. They are tracking devices you put on the bottom of your shoes that make it easier to walk in snow and ice. You can find them in ski shops. Don't think I didn't take advantage of the great employee discount and get some for myself. My driveway in the winter no longer will kick my butt. All I need are Yaktrax for my tires and I wouldn't have to regret not having 4WD!
