Neither here nor there, but left and right

It's another snow day here, although thankfully, the district opted to delay opening rather than give the kids yet another day off like they got last Monday. My heart skipped a beat when I saw them on my caller I.D., thinking I was getting yet another call regarding an incident involving Tommy, but it was just the kindergarten calling to tell me they were canceling the afternoon session, which Joey attends. They can't have the little kiddos waiting for the buses and risk getting splashed by the slush from cars passing by. Or maybe they thought the roads were bad. Black ice under the snow is probable, given that I have it in my own driveway.

So I was thinking the other day about people in my family who are left-handed and realized this: Children or grandchildren of my mom having birthdays on the 10th day of any given month are left-handed. My sister Dee - March 10. My nephew Eric - November 10. My nephew Nick - December 10 (Happy birthday, Nick!). It's too soon to know yet, but odds are that my nephew Marcus who was born October 10 will not be right-handed. So, how about that? I'll bet you don't even think about things like that, do you? You're welcome.

No, only you think of things like that. You were always the creative one... I'll let you know if Marc ends up being left handed. Can you wait a couple of years though?? :)
