I picked up the mail today on my way back from getting pizza. There was a letter to Tommy from the Londonderry Police Department.
Yeah, that was my first thought, too. But before handing it over to him like I do for mail addressed to him or his brothers ( which are usually holiday cards, thank-you cards and the likes of such), I opened it and read it.
Contrary to what we were told in June when we turned it in, the iPod Tommy found has gone unclaimed and per RSA 471-C:13, he is now entitled to this property.
If he doesn't make arrangements to claim it, it WILL be disposed of. Well, you can bet we won't let that happen.
Is this the juvenile delinquent we were worried about earlier--the one who, evidently, has turned in a lost ipod? I think he'll be okay.
ReplyDeleteThe very one. I hope you're right.
ReplyDeleteit seems your "juvenile delinquent" has learned some values about turning in lost property-his parents had to have taught him that. I too think he'll be ok.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice life lesson. Do the right thing, even when no one is looking.
ReplyDeleteYay! A free ipod :)
