To all Bunco players, As discussed by my co-president, Colleen, I would like to re-iterate a point made at the November Bunco to have a $5 ornament swap as well as a $5 bunco pot instead of just a $10 ornament swap. During former pool-side bunco minutes discussions, it came to my attention that Kerri felt that she didn't really win last December's bunco because everyone went home with an ornament. Kerri did not get the unique distinction of truly winning the Bunco pot. Please consider our suggestion of a $5 ornament and a $5 pot. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Danielle, Co-President Bunco Buddies, Inc.
Hey, wait a minute, I thought the hostess of the evening serves as President??? I guess I missed the elections too! Guess I won't cause a debate, though , since I was going to suggest the same idea. Any one opposed, just let me know, but we will go for a $5 ornament/ holiday decoration and a $5 cash "donation" for the pot!!! Any one who cannot make it next Friday, please, please let me know ASAP. It will be much harder to find subs at the last minute during the holidays, and now thanks to our devoted presidents they have to bring a gift too!!
Hello - I've checked with the Bunco Gaming Commission for the official ruling on this type of request. Their response was that this was not within the guidelines when hosting a Christmas Bunco. However, they have decided to waive the normal rules in the spirit of Christmas. The Gaming Commission would also like to extend an apology to Kerri. They were unaware of the situation and are unable to provide compensation as it has been over a year since the incident occurred. As a member of the Londonderry Bunco Association, I do appreciate you bringing this to the forefront. Happy Holidays! Kathy
So...., if I was the suing kind of gal, I could sue for punitive damages? That would be the financial and psychological impact this has had for me over the last year. Plus any accrued interest. Oh, but wait a minute. I'm NOT that kind of person! I'll just settle for the bartering option to avoid a long and drawn out and expensive trial. I like Mike's Hard Lemonade, Arbor Mist, anything with diamonds, anything from LL Bean, absolutely anything Snoopy; an iPod would probably be nice. Oh, how about a laptop? No, wait a minute! My VERY OWN ROOM! With a lock! Well, you get the picture I'm sure. I'm sure going with the latter would be much easier on your pocketbooks than pushing for a trial. With a jury. Of course, they'd have to play Bunco so I'd easily have their compassion to side with me and my tragic loss. I have to say it has been very difficult healing from this traumatic event, especially on regularly scheduled Bunco nights. But I'm over it. Completely. ;-) Kerri - Plaintiff
You are such a glutton for punishment. After reading your stories and attending other "parties" such as the ones you describe, I'm so thankful we never even started that tradition. Could you imagine planning those parties as often as we would have to? No thank you! Our kids never knew what they were missing and have always been content with our "family" party. :)
