Where did I leave those darn keys?

Oh, there they are. In the van, right next to the spare set. Locked in tight and secure so the burglars can't steal the bus.

You want to know if I left them there unknowingly, right? No, I didn't. G took my van up to his mom's and apparently upon his return, nonchalantly tossed my keys to the side, rather than doing the logical thing and bring them inside the house. How the spare set got there is beyond me. But it's my fault they were all locked in together, because I was the one who locked the doors yesterday before turning in for the night. This I did by opening the driver's side door, hitting the automatic lock, and shutting the door. I didn't look for the keys because I wouldn't have left them there. Like G apparently did after he was the last person to drive the van. Still not sure how the spare got there. At this point, I'm venturing to guess it was one of the young'uns.

But stressed I was not. I just pulled my AAA card out, dialed the number and told them of my situation. A very nice kid came out and worked his magic with his magic tools and voila -- the door was opened and keys reclaimed in less than 5 minutes. So I was only a little late in going to pick up Princess Morgan and her mom, who was made aware of the reason for my delay.

And then for the rest of the day we had our fun. Kids played with their pal, Billy. We shared time between our house and his while his parents educated themselves on the know-how of having and maintaining a pool. Morgan's mom took a much needed nap while I cuddled the little Princess. After our barbecue and watermelon, we roasted marshmallows in the fire pit.

It is past time to tuck the young'uns into bed. Or their inflatable mattresses out on the porch tonight, where they want to lay their sleepy heads.

Keys are all where they should be. Goodnight.
